Have you ever wondered what was really inside the makeup bags of those in the glamour industry? Well I have too but that would probably remain a mystery but for now, allow me to share with you what I like to keep in my make up bag.
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, $46.99
I have used this facial cream for years now and it's easy enough to find in New Zealand. I love it because it’s so refreshing and keeps my skin hydrated and fresh. I've never had a problem with redness on my skin when I apply this. I use this as a daily and can't recommend it highly enough.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation 3N Creamy Beige, $14.97
Foundation is an important part of my makeup ritual and a must in my make up bag. I love this L'Oreal foundation for its natural finish and doesn't feel dry all day long. It is also easy to apply and lasts a long time.
NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer, $46
This concealer is expensive but worth every penny, it has high-coverage and long lasting. It can completely hide my inconsistent blemishes and dark spots under my eyes.
Make Up For Ever Artist Pencil, $18
This product is one of my favourite and is handy when time is of the essence. I love how I can use it for my lips, eyeliner, and eyebrows without pickup up a different pencil. It has a soft texture that makes it super easy to contour out above my eyelids and smooth over my lips.
Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Lip Colour, $11
I love matte lips and this product enhances my natural lip colour and it lasts all day. I like how it doesn't dry my lips out and doesn't smudge when applied.
Kosas - Color + Light: Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter, $52
I always keep the Kosas - Color + Light: Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter in my bag handy to lift my complexion and add some color. I love how the texture feels and it is so natural looking.
Morphe 35F Fall Into Frost Artistry Palette, Multicolor, $36
This is the only set I will use because I love the colours available and can always find something to match the dinner party or event I'm attending. I gravitate towards the neutral tones most of the time and find it easy to blend out on my skin and colors go well together.
Tatcha Aburatorigami Blotting Papers, $18
This product has always been my life savior because I do have oily skin and there is no better feeling to be blotting throughout the day and seeing how much oil is removed in one sheet. It is great to reduce shine instantly and has never failed me.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Wipes, $5.39
I cannot live without Neutrogena makeup wipes, it does a great job and the price is on point. It makes removing my makeup efficient without using harsh cleansers on my face. It is lightweight and fits perfectly in my bag and also easy to replenish.
Sephora Collection Makeup Cleansing & Moisture Face Mask, $8
I always have a couple of these face masks in close proximity and wouldn't go without it. Once applied, I can feel all the toxins relinquish from my skin and tightens pores. It instantly moisturizes my face and I always feel fresh after I've had it on my skin.
So there you have it, that's my make up bag and I totally understand that not everyone is the same but over the years you'll find what works and what doesn't. I've hoped this has helped you in some way.
